In This Moment Tour Maryland Show Review

In this Moment makes Halloween Everyday!!

In this Moment has been sweeping around the world lately, and stopped in Maryland to bring the ghouls something spectacular. Bringing with them Hyde, Light The Torch and Sevendust.

Hyde opened up and I really didn’t know what to expect, I heard that his stage attire and the bands were really insane, and it’s all true. I was really impressed by the band, most bands like this are more gimmick less good music, but Hyde is a great combination of both. I see him become very huge here in the states like he is in Japan.

Howard Jones…That’s all I need to say. He’s a legend in the metal world and his latest band Light The Torch is setting the world on fire. Howard has always been a favorite of mine, his vocals and stage energy is insane. This is another band that will be blowing up the scene, even though Howard was in KillSwitch Engage before, it’s hard working bands like Light the Torch that have to climb up the ranks.

Sevendust, the best thing to come out of Atlanta since the Braves back in the early 90s( oh ok Walking Dead and Marvel Movies now) are a force to reckon with on stage, and one of the few bands that have all Original members in it going strong since the first album dropped in 97. Singer Lajon Witherspoon and Drummer Morgan Rose are on a class all of the own. Those two both doing vocals just makes you want to mess somebody up. Tonight

Sevendust played all the classics like Face to Face, Bitch, Denial, Enemy and Thank You. I’ve seen Sevendust more times than I can count and they smash it every time.

In This Moment were up next, once the curtain dropped the spook-show was ready to begin. Coming out to Fly Like an Eagle by Steve Miller Band, Singer Maria Brink came out to her female entourage banging on the drums summoning her and her Virgin Mary like Head Gear, walking down the stairs she she her clothes into a white gown. What a spectacle to see, yes it’s very theatrical and is usually on this scale is more towards the pop side of things, but Maria doesn’t lip-sync like those other Divas.

Each song brought out a different persona or side, each outfit just as amazing as the next songs like River Of Fire, Adrenalize, Natural Born Sinner and Whore. Maria also brought out a creepy piano/organ looking thing for Lay Your Guns Down. The band behind her, side of her and all over the stage is just as crazy and amazing and she is. The entourage of girls on stage were just as mesmerizing. ITM took time to acknowledge the Veterans and Active duty military men and women in the crowd. We also got to hear an awesome version of Don’t Stop Believing by Journey.

The music, the set, the band and the fans just added to such a great live experience. I’ve seen ITM since the broke into the scene on Ozzfest and seen them throughout the years and changes, but this show had to be hands down the best I’ve ever seen them and heard Maria’s angelic voice. If you haven’t seen this band yet, and you’re into bad ass Metal and love the Theatrical side, then ITM is the band for you.

PNC Park August 12 2022

Oh what fun! To be a fledgling band sharing stadium stages with the years biggest tour featuring the icons of Def Leppard, legends of Motley Crue, the feel good rockers Poison and of course Joan Jett.

With a vintage sound that pulls equally from Led Zepplin and the LA metal scene Classless Act is poised to dominate your playlists and burst onto rock radio. Don’t let the dated references deter from joining the party, as this band is full of energy, personality, and most of all musical chops. Formed in 2019 the five piece released their debut album Welcome To The Show in June via Better Noise Music and are now living out the dream on every new band.

If you want to see real music played by real people get to the stadium early and catch Classless Act perform their energetic 18 minute set (not one minute more, not one minute less). They warmed up the crowd in Pittsburgh, PA this past weekend under the blazing sun. Below are some photos of their set.

Society 1 Takes On Second Lock-down Challenge

Society 1

Sammy Hagar and his CIRCLE band mates are using the Coronavirus downtime to release new music and video calling it the “Lockdown Challenge” which developed quickly into the “Lockdown Sessions”. The four musicians connected via their smartphones from four separate locations to record a brand new song and covers.

Upon seeing Hagar’s continued output of material Society 1 frontman Matt Zane was fascinated by this new but hopefully temporary medium of music and video creation. Zane’s band mates Jimmy Minj (Bass), Johnny Pilz (Guitar) and Zhenya Pro (Drums) were once again on board and went to work.

“When else are you going to have chance to create in this way in these circumstances? Why not go for it, get creative and see what happens?” said Zane

Zane and his band members once again worked on ideas sharing them through video conferencing ultimately crafting a new song called “I Reach Through”.

“No studio, 100% recorded from home. No producer. We just gathered some unfinished ideas that were around, bounced some new ideas off each other and just did it. It’s so immediate from start to finish. Definitely a unique change of pace. “
