NEVER EARLY FESTIVAL BALTIMORE MD SHOW REVIEW

Never Early Fest in downtown Baltimore at Power Plant Live was a great experience and fun event that was held on May 31st. Having 5 stages, the main stage in power plant live , one stage at the old tin roof, one stage at angels rock bar, another stage at PBF and one at the Beer Garden.

Never Early Fest had a good mix of all types of genres. If you’re into punk rock, ska, metal core, rock, acoustic sets and everything in between, this was the place to be in Baltimore.

Some of the highlights were the headliners Deep Blue Something and Sumo Cyco( both of which I got to interview. Check out Below)

Sponge was great, along with Bikini Trill and The PieTasters on the main stage.

At Nutter Stage (Tin Roof) I really enjoyed The Upside, Skitzo Calypso, Tristan Tritt and Emily Wolfe.

Empire Tattoo Stage (PBR) highlights were When the Sun Sets, Act109 and Keep Flying. Punk Rock Saves Lives stage (Beer Garden) I enjoyed Distance to Dawn with an acoustic set, and LoveBoxx.

Dark Stage (Angels rock back) was probably  my favorite stage only because it had the most metal/rock bands that I enjoyed. With Allswell, Lives Lost, Devil in Disguise, Awake at Last , A skylit drive and Sumo Cyco all killing it on that stage.

Overall I thought the fest was fun. We had a little rain that went by quick then some nice sunny weather with occasional crazy winds.  The band were all great, the food and food trucks were great. The fans from all walks of life were enjoying the diversity of the music.

Huge shout to Nic Rappolla and His Team for putting on a great event.

COLD TOURING ON THE CELEBRATION OF THE “RED” ALBUM CAME BACK TO SOUNDSTAGE AND NOT ONLY DID THE AC BREAK ON THE TOUR BUS BUT ALSO IN THE VENUE.

JOINING COLD ON THIS PART OF THE TOUR WAS SIERRA SWAN WHO IVE NEVER SEEN LIVE BEFORE BUT KNEW SHE WAS A CONTRIBUTING SINGER TO COLD SONGS FOR A FEW ALBUMS. SIERRA WAS GREAT, ARMNED WITH JUST HER TRUSTY GUITAR SHE GAVE THE FANS A PERFECT PERFORMANCE TO START THE SHOW. AND AT ONE POINT HAD THE BAND COME OUT AND DO A FEW SONGS TOO.

IVE BEEN LISTENING TO COLD SINCE THE RED ALBUM BUT ONLY SEEN THEM LIVE WHEN 13 WAYS TO BLEED ALBUM CAME OUT AND WITH A FEW SONGS PERIODICALLY PLAYED ON TOUR ITS BEEN A LONG TIME OR MAYBE EVEN THE FIRST TIME HEARING SOME OF THOSE SONGS. MYSELF AND MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN PESTERING SCOOTER TO PLAY THIS ALBUM AND IT FINALLY HAPPENED.

I GOT TO HEAR SONGS LIKE “STRIP HER DOWN”, “INSANE”, “UGLY” AND “MAKES HER SICK” PLUS COLD FAVORITES LIKE “JUST GOT WICKED”, AND “BACK HOME”. WE ALSO GOT TO HEAR “SUFFOCATE” AND “NO ONE” WITH SIERRA SWAN.

IT WAS AN AMAZING SHOW WITH SUCH GREAT PEOPLE. SCOOTER IS SUCH AN AMAZING HUMAN AND LINDSAY,TONY,ANGELO, AND ED ARE JUST JUST AS AMAZING TOO. THEY ALWAYS GO UP AND BEYOND FOR THEIR FANS AND IM SO GLAD TO CALL THEM MY FRIENDS. GETTING TO WATCH THEM PLAY IS TRULY A BLESSING AND EVEN BETTER WITH MY FRIEND KID DREADFUL AND MOMMA+POPPA DREADFUL.

L.A. GUNS COME BACK TO MARYLAND AND ROCK THE CROWD ONCE AGAIN.

L.A. Guns were back in Annapolis, Maryland, at Rams Head On Stage, with Phil supporting a new and fresh look and Traci guns rocking that guitar like it’s the end of the world.

L.A. Guns always put on a wonderful and entertaining show; they play old and new songs and always know how to keep the fans begging for more. It’s still always a little odd to see them play at this venue because it is a seated venue, but L.A. Guns are used to that because they play here many times. I loved that at one point Phil asked a fan if they were making a documentary since they were filming the whole set, which was funny, and Phil at one point said he wasn’t a big Queen fan, and throughout the show his bandmates kept playing snippets of Queen.

It’s always great to see the band and their interactions with the crowd. All five band members are super awesome and are always very friendly to their fans. I look forward to seeing the band more often and love that they tour as much as they do. If you’re a fan of LA Guns or just a fan of good old rock and roll, go out and support the band. We need more bands like LA Guns to keep the rock world’s engine running.

WITCH CLUB SATAN THE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL TRIO CAME TO BALTIMORE AND NOT ONLY DID THEY SLAY THEY TOOK NO MERCY ON THE CROWD WITH THEIR ENTICING MUSIC.

THIS WAS THEIR FIRST TIME TOURING AMERICA AND THEY WERE AWESOME. ADDING FOLKLORE,WITCHCRAFT AND VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT, WCS BARES IT ALL FOR THE CROWD. I LOVED THE DIFF STYLES OF MUSIC FROM SPOKEN WORD TO DEATH METAL TO TRASH METAL THE BAND REALLY BLEW ME AWAY.

SONGS LIKE WILD WHORES, I WAS MADE BY FIRE, BLACK METAL IS KRIG, FRESH BLOOD/FRESH PUSSY AND SOLACE SISTERS. WCS PUT ON A SHOW THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED, WITH SOME BANDS USING THEATRICS AND GIMMICKS AS AN EXCUSE FOR MUSICIANSHIP, THIS  BAND IS LEGIT AND TAKES YOU ON A JOURNEY FROM HIGH TO LOW. YES AT TIMES IT COULD BE SHOCKING WITH BLOOD AND SATANIC IMAGES AND NUDITY BUT THEN AGAIN THATS ALSO WHAT MAKES THE MESSAGE EVEN MORE POWERFUL.
