Interview with Aaron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome

Empire Extreme is back in the grind. Tours have finally came back into swing. Tonight Empire Extreme got to site down with Aaron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome.

EE: How’s the tour going so far?

Aaron: It’s going very well. The tour package is Awesome, the fans are awesome and everybody stoked to be out of covid.

EE: So how was it for you during the 2020 pandemic?

Aaron: I know people won’t like my answer but I loved it. I loved being home and not being on the road all the time. I had some health issues before that and I was able to get my health back.

EE: You have the new album coming out in October, what can fans expect?

Aaron: People are saying it’s the heaviest record.I don’t feel that I did as much screaming in this album, maybe I’m not as angry as I was before. I feel that this is the best album of ours to date.

EE: This is the first album to feature Meegs who of course is known from Coal Chamber

Aaron: Yes, meegs from Coal Chamber. I like to say Meegs from Piñata, that’s he’s old band with Brian. He’s been around this band since the beginning of the band. We grew close throughout the years. We had a few players before and Brian said they couldn’t find the right guy and then Meegs is like “Hello”.

EE: I’ve read that you’re into Kung Fu, do you have a favorite movie?

Aaron: Fist of Legend with Jet Li. I got really into him when I first got myself into martial arts. I love all the Shaw brothers stuff. I’m a huge Jet Li fan. Him and Donnie Yen.

EE: If you could go back in time and see one band in their prime who would you want to see?

Aaron: Pink Floyd comes to mind first. Go see them tripping on LSD. That would be cool.

EE: If you could put a Gemini Syndrome song in a vault and years later it’s found, what song you want them to hear?

Aaron: I have no idea, that a good question. I suppose Remember We Die is pretty universal message, that would be a good one. Abandoned because it’s nasty and grimy. Why is this guy screaming he’s not angry. Obviously he’s angry.

Gemini Syndrome put on a hell of a show. They say Aaron interacts with the fans is amazing. Not only did they rock for about a little over and hour, right after for the special VIPs, they put on an acoustic set for about 30 mins, which again was just a really killer and intimate interaction with them and the fans.
