Upcoming Artist Alyxx played the BlueRidge Rock Festival. Hailing from NY, Alyxx rocked the Clinic Stage on Saturday afternoon. Empire Extreme got to talk to Alyxx about playing the festival and all things to do with the band. 

EE: How you liking the Blue Ridge experience so far?

Alyxx: It’s awesome. We have a lot of people here and lots of good bands. 

EE: How was the crowd response?

Alyxx: It’s was actually really good. 

EE: How was it like for you and the band during 2020?

Alyxx: I had a lot of shows that I booked and had to cancel, so I was heartbroken. So then I just worked on the social media aspect of it. I figured everyone’s at home and on social media. I released 2 songs during the pandemic.

EE: I seen on YouTube that you had a good following for you’re renditions of songs, did that become a thing because of the pandemic?

Alyxx: I was doing it before. I grew up doing the theater, so I’ve always liked that. That would be my outlet do a theater show then record a cover.  I did musical theater and I’m a dancer. 

EE: If you could pick 2 bands to go on tour with and be their openers, who would you want to go with?

Alyxx: Evanescence 

EE: I could see you doing a tour with Stitched up heart or even New Years Day with the hair color your rocking. 

EE: Any tours coming up?

Alyxx: Nothing right now, with how the world is going and bands having to cancel their tours still. We will keep writing material.
