Unleash The Archers are a Canadian power metal band that kick ass and take names. Before the show in Baltimore Empire Extreme got to sit down and talk to singer Brittney Slayes while a nice thunderstorm and rain was being orchestrated in the background.

EE: You excited about the tour with Striker?

BS: yes of course, we are good friends with them. It’s been a lot of fun. We have always had a mutual respect for each other, so we knew that we would be having a great tour together.

EE: Have you ever had any issues with Visas or Crossing the border from Canada?

BS: We never been turned away, it’s just the paperwork it’s annoying. Once we get to the border it’s always rad, they ask and want to know about your band. It’s expensive but worth it, and fighting with promoters to get them in time.

EE: How was it like making the video for Tonite we Ride video?

BS: It was amazing, the crew of burning man let us use the cool cars and all the stuff set up like a Mad Max. And we got to experience the whole burning man. It was different from what I thought it was going to be, but it was amazing.

EE: Did you have any vocal lessons?

BS: I sang in choir since I was eight, which was the youngest you can start, I took a few classes but never went to Julliard or anything.

EE: What’s been your favorite tour?

BS: When we toured with TYR and Sirenia throughout Europe, it was our first time doing a Europe tour. Was such a rad tour, we never got sick of each other.

EE: What was your favorite place to play on that tour?

BS: Probably Vienna, it was such a packed house, tight and sweaty but they were loud, Prague was amazing also.

EE: What band would want to see reunite?

BS: Lost Horizon I would love to see those guys Kill it Live.

EE: What musician would you bring back from the dead?

BS: I would have liked to seen Dio, I regret never getting to see him Live. It would be amazing to see him.

EE: Anything you like to say to the fans?

BS: just want to thank all the fans, come check us out on one of the upcoming shows we have or check out of on Facebook, we are active with social media.
