Interview with Dollskin at Warped Tour

Ron

Dollskin is pure energy and pure kick ass Rock N Roll fun.

Dollskin was on the full tour for the last Warped Tour and Empire Extreme got to sit down and chat a little with Guitarist Alex Snowden, Bass player Nicole Rich and Drummer Meghan Herring.

EE: What’s been the best part about playing the full warped tour?

DS: Honestly one of the coolest parts is getting to play the full tour, it’s been amazing. When we got the call to be on the tour it was so incredible. Making friends with all the bands and meeting the bands I listen to has been pretty cool.

EE: I seen you guys a few years ago here in Baltimore playing with OTEP and September Mourning.

DS: Ok, so we have played around here before. (All laugh)

EE: Yeah I was blown away not only by the band name because I’m a huge Hole fan, but how kick ass you guys play reminded me of like The Runaways with a bunch of bad ass girls playing rock and roll.

DS: Thank you.

EE: How’s been the journey since then?

DS: Its been amazing, we got to play Europe which I never thought we would be doing till many years later. We have grown a lot since the last time you have seen us. It’s been busy and we’re going back to Europe again. The fans there were great and even if they don’t know you they respect you so much more.

EE: I heard that you guys are affiliated with Megadeth’s David Ellefson, how did that happen?

DS: Alex “He’s my dad”. (Laugh) No he’s our manager, he’s kind like a dad to all of us. We were playing a battle of the bands in high school and his son, goes to the same school and told his dad to check us out. Then he said he wanted to work with us.

EE: Has Anything changed for you guys since when I seen you last you all were mostly underage now you’re all over 18?

DS: No, we are still idiots , they still won’t let us in bars or kick us out, it’s mostly the wristbands that we get.

EE: If you can have a band reunite who would you want to see?

DS: My Chemical Romance. Alex? “ I won’t say Dream Theater” But prob Led Zepplin.

EE: What dead Musician would you bring back?

DS: The Rev From Avenged Sevenfold. Nicole- I would bring back the real Paul McCartney.(Laughs)
