After touring the USA for the first time Infected Rain’s Lena Scissorhands  talked to Empire Extreme about the tour and life.

EE: How was it like touring with the Butcher Babies and Stitched up Heart on your first US tour?

Lena: It was very awesome to be honest and amazing. We finally got back on tour for a long time which was very emotional. Also we finally had our first US tour, it was supposed to happen before the pandemic. We haven’t been able to tour the US for many years because we are an independent band and makes it harder. It was great to be with friends because me and Heidi are really close friends. We had a blast.

EE: You have a new album that’s going to be released next year?

Lena: Yes our new album which is our 5th album comes out January 7th 2022. We started giving some of our songs out with video and will continue to do that every month. We also shot an anniversary show/movie that will be coming out end of this month.

EE: Your fan interactions on that tour were amazing to see, you came out and met with the fans and signed autographs all while still being safe for you and for the fans.

Lena: Thank you for acknowledging that. Some people still had some complaints and were unhappy but you can’t please everybody. I did my best.

EE: How was it doing the Tatu cover with Chse the Comet?

Lena: That was a while ago. It was fun. I’m friends with the band and was fun and we speak the same language even though they are from Russia. I’m glad the chose that song because it’s about love and the tabu in general for being judged.

EE: I was an actual huge fan of Tatu, I thought they were a great band.

Lena: Nice not that many people know about them and they only had one album in English.

EE: Speaking of Tatu, I know you’re heavily tattooed and really love the Disney theme ones and the Johhny depp mashup

Lena: That’s funny that you say that because that’s gone. I’m doing a big change to my body and my tattoos. My right sleeve is now all blacked out fully. It’s a whole new look. My left side is still colorful and childish kinda. I love that because I’m both I love cute things and lovey things and colorful things and Im also in the darkness and metal scene.

EE: It’s almost Christmas time, is there a favorite Xmas movie you enjoy?

Lena: Yeah I have a bunch, I try to make it into a tradition. I love it. I try to sit down with good snacks and watch good movies. I have a love for Home Alone. I love the Gremlins. I also love the Christmas Carol and makes you think about the greediest of people. The Grinch is one of my favorites, I have a big love for Jim Carey.

EE: If you had to put a song from Infected Rain and put it in a time capsule and years later civilization finds it, what song would you want them to hear?

Lena: I think it would be The Earth Mantra. If I wanted to send a message that would be the one. It has a deep message about our planet and Mother Earth. It’s a more global message.
