MEKA-NISM IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. WATCH OUT FOR THE TRIBE!!!

Meka-Nism who hail from Orlando Florida, traveled up the east coast to do a few shows in Harrisburg. On the way back home they stopped into The Sparta Inn in Baltimore MD to let the ones who dare, take a peek and listen to the sounds of metal.

Empire Extreme got to sit down and talk to the members about the tour and life on the road.

EE: How was the trip driving up from Florida to Pennsylvania?

MN: It was cold (all laugh) by each state it kept getting colder and colder. Then there was snow. It was a great bonding experience, surviving the elements together.

EE: Being from Florida, did u guys pack for the weather?

MN: We went to Germany a few years ago and we learned from that. The fall of 2017 in the fall in Germany it was cold to us.

EE: How were the crowds and fans in the Harrisburg shows?

MN: Super supportive. It was a really artsy town. It was great to meet everyone. The owner of the place came out to meet us. We’ve been in this area a few times, we played with Trapt in 2015 and toured with Avatar in the spring of 2016. We have played in Pa before.

EE: There’s a lot of bands in the same genre as you guys but nobody is quite like Meka-Nism

MN: Thank you, that’s been the thing since we first started, we always had troubled labeling ourselves and try not to be like all other metal bands. We pull from everywhere. Everybody brings a different sound and vibe to the band.

EE: You said something about just recently adding a few of the members of the band, which is insane because you all work so cohesive together

MN: Yeah it’s only been like 6 months that this core has been together. These guys are pros. Drummer Nick drives 2 hours back and forth for practices.

EE: Are you guys working on a follow up for The War Inside?

MN: Yes we are starting to work on new music, we are going to be writing a full length album. Pieces at a time. We’re excited to see what will be happening next.

EE: If you could be on a dream tour, who would you want to tour with?

MN: Bobby: I would say Metallica
Jay: I would say Avatar, we toured with them before but it was so great.
Nick: I would have to say Trivium, they just blow me away.

EE: If you could bring back one dead musician, who would it be?

MN: Dimebag Darrell, all day.

EE: I always say when anyone chooses Dimebag now, I say that they have to bring back Vinnie Paul too, because Dime would be lost without him. So it’s got to be a 2 for 1.

MN: Man that’s going deep (laughs)

Meka-Nism puts on a hell of a show, from bad ass songs, a very energetic singer and killer musicians behind her. Meka Nism is the band to be watching out for. Very grateful and humble musicians as well. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. If you get a chance you need to see this band Live. Check them out on Facebook or on the website.
