Striker the Canadian Speed metal band, thundered into Baltimore to crush some heads and have some fun. Empire Extreme got to talk to Guitarist Tim Brown before the show.

EE: Are you excited about the tour with Unleash The Archers?

TB: Absolutely, it’s been a great tour, it’s nice to tour with your friends. We have known them for a long time, we have played shows before but this is our first time doing a tour together.

EE: Have you guys ever had any issues with Visas being a Canadian band?

TB: We haven’t not been let in, but a huge pain in the ass to come back in. When we go to Europe we fly in and bring whatever we want. We come to states you have to get contracts, The IRS taking your money and paying taxes on your own gear, it’s a pain in the ass but it’s always fun.

EE: What’s been you’re favorite tour so far?

TB: I got to say this one, last few tours have been with big legacy bands like Dark Tranquility, it’s nice to be on tour with a younger band, but the other shows you play huge venues.

EE: Do you prefer the bigger venues or this smaller more intimate ones?

TB: I do like the intimate ones, but at the same time the big venues are better equipped, they usually have a better sound system or better catering. The people that work there are super pros, compared to small clubs.

EE: You guys have a new album coming out soon?

TB: Yeah October 26th. This is our favorite album, we knocked it our of the park. We are still spinning it in the car, most bands after they finished the album they stop listening to it, but I still have it in my car. We tried a more experimental songs.

EE: If you could bring back one dead Musician who would it be?

TB: That’s a tough one, there’s so many unfortunate souls that went to soon. I always wondered how Metallica would sound if Cliff Burton was still around.
