Walk the Moon Show Review
As we arrived at the venue, the lines wrapped around the building, and out to the street. The show was essentially sold out. The pit was packed even before the opening act, Bear Hands. The last time I saw Ram’s Head sold out, or very close to being sold out, was back in 2017.
I had listened to Bear Hands years back, and during their set, I hadn’t realized some of the songs they played that I recognized were sung by them. During the first four songs, they were very relaxed and low energy.
I made a point to bring a friend to the show. I knew I’ve been anticipating to see Walk The Moon live for years now since their self-titled debut album, and even more to shoot and review the show.
A few minutes before the show starts, and “Circle of Life” from the Lion King starts. The lights are coming up, and the band members come out one by one, starting with Sean Waugaman, the drummer. Followed by Lachlan West – the newly acquired multi-instrumentalist, then Kevin Ray, the bassist, and Eli Maiman, the guitarist. Finally the singer Nick Petricca and the crowd is cheering, all the photographers are getting ready. The first song they play is “Jenny”. Time freezes and everyone is dancing and having a great time. Everybody is just so festive and content. The face paint of all the fans, which comes from their first ever single “Anna Sun” back in 2010. I got to see a range of ages partaking in the face paint tradition this band has brought. From very young fans to an older generation, which we know this band and their amazing music has brought all together tonight in harmony.
The change from a calming opening act to a hyper and loud main act was extreme. The strobes and flashing lights, the excitement of (something). Before the last chorus, Nick stops and greets the crowd. “I would like so see how many beautiful human beings we can get jumping when the band comes back in.” And you bet that entire club was on their feet.
The next song they performed was ‘Different Colors’. This song really speaks to me because its about the LGBTQ+ community and how they need to be loud, and come together with the love of music as well as gender equality. As walk the moon are one of the few bands that talk about issues like this.
I was very thankful to the band as they were very gracious to the photographers. They kept giving eye contact to us which make for some very beautiful photographs and acknowledge our existence. I can’t even count the amount of times Eli gave me a little smile and especially Kevin for giving me a beautiful pose with his tongue out which I’m thankful for.
The fifth song they played was their latest single ‘Timebomb’ which i was very fond of. The fans enjoyed the new song and new sound they were producing.
Before the eleventh song, Nick addressed the fans about the next song, ‘Surrender’. He spoke that it was like a sequel to one of the previous songs ‘Aquaman’ also how he’s grateful the fans have supported the band during their hiatus after Nick’s father’s passing. We were so touched as he was so down to earth.
By the end of the show, I felt very content and cheerful. I felt transported during this event and I felt completely different by the time we left and the show was over. I felt as if there was no one else in the room and it was just me with the band listening to some amazing music that blows my mind every time I listen to them. All of my problems and worries were left at the door before it started and I could not have asked for anything more.
I definitely recommend catching them on tour, and becoming a part of their family, as they are more than just fans. It felt like home and I would definitely love to see them again.

Oh what fun! To be a fledgling band sharing stadium stages with the years biggest tour featuring the icons of Def Leppard, legends of Motley Crue, the feel good rockers Poison and of course Joan Jett.
With a vintage sound that pulls equally from Led Zepplin and the LA metal scene Classless Act is poised to dominate your playlists and burst onto rock radio. Don’t let the dated references deter from joining the party, as this band is full of energy, personality, and most of all musical chops. Formed in 2019 the five piece released their debut album Welcome To The Show in June via Better Noise Music and are now living out the dream on every new band.
If you want to see real music played by real people get to the stadium early and catch Classless Act perform their energetic 18 minute set (not one minute more, not one minute less). They warmed up the crowd in Pittsburgh, PA this past weekend under the blazing sun. Below are some photos of their set.

Society 1 Takes On Second Lock-down Challenge
Sammy Hagar and his CIRCLE band mates are using the Coronavirus downtime to release new music and video calling it the “Lockdown Challenge” which developed quickly into the “Lockdown Sessions”. The four musicians connected via their smartphones from four separate locations to record a brand new song and covers.
Upon seeing Hagar’s continued output of material Society 1 frontman Matt Zane was fascinated by this new but hopefully temporary medium of music and video creation. Zane’s band mates Jimmy Minj (Bass), Johnny Pilz (Guitar) and Zhenya Pro (Drums) were once again on board and went to work.
“When else are you going to have chance to create in this way in these circumstances? Why not go for it, get creative and see what happens?” said Zane
Zane and his band members once again worked on ideas sharing them through video conferencing ultimately crafting a new song called “I Reach Through”.
“No studio, 100% recorded from home. No producer. We just gathered some unfinished ideas that were around, bounced some new ideas off each other and just did it. It’s so immediate from start to finish. Definitely a unique change of pace. “
